“Gordion ve UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ne Giriş Süreci Üzerine” Brian Rose ve Zeynep Kuban

Zeynep Kuban moderatörlüğünde kazı başkanı Brian Rose’un çevrimiçi katılacağı “Gordion ve UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ne Giriş Süreci Üzerine” başlıklı sunum, Mimarlar Derneği 1927'de 12 Mart Salı günü saat 19:30'da gerçekleşecek.

Mimarlar Derneği 1927 tarafından düzenlenen, Zeynep Kuban moderatörlüğünde, kazı başkanı Brian Rose’un çevrim içi katılacağı Dernek mekânında canlı olarak izlenebilecek “Gordion ve UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi’ne Giriş Süreci Üzerine” başlıklı sunum, 12 Mart Salı günü saat 19.30'da başlayacak.

Sunum dili İngilizcedir. Türkçe çeviri desteği sağlanacaktır.

CHARLES BRIAN ROSE HAKKINDA

American archaeologist, classical scholar, and author, Mediterranean Section of the Penn Museum Deputy Director from 2008-2011. From 1987 to 2005 he taught in the Classics Department at the University of Cincinnati, serving as head of the Department from 2002-2005, and as Cedric Boulter Professor of Classical Archaeology. He has been a Trustee of the American Academy in Rome since 2001, and currently serves as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. In 2017 he was elected President of the American Research Institute in Turkey. He currently serves as director for the Gordion excavations and as Head of the Post-Bronze Age excavations at Troy. Between 2003 and 2007 he directed the Granicus River Valley Survey Project, which focused on recording and mapping the Graeco-Persian tombs that dominate northwestern Turkey.

ZEYNEP KUBAN HAKKINDA

Zeynep Kuban (1964) is a professor in History of Architecture at the Istanbul Technical University with an undergraduate education in archaeology and art history. She is the head of the Master and PhD Programs in Art history at ITU. Apart from ITU she taught at TU Berlin, BTU Cottbus and LMU Munich as guest professor. She has been active in different archaeological field work missions and is the vice director of the excavation in Limyra- Turkey. Merging education, field work and social engagement she organized summerschools and workshops with her architecture students for the children of the local village of Limyra to develop a bond towards archaeological heritage and natural environment. In her understanding of education outside of the university frame she, together with a team of colleagues, organizes summerschools for the education of architects as active agents at archaeological sites. She is also active in workshops with students for primary school children in Istanbul.

She has been a Visiting Fellow in Princeton, is a corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute, Member of Koldewey Gesellschaft, Member of ICOMOS Turkey National Committee UNESCO Turkey Tangible Heritage .

General fields of publications and research are Archaeology in context, Institutional History, early 20th century art and architecture.
